SHARING

STEP 3 - SHARING THE GOSPEL - CHAPTER 20

CREATIVE WAYS OF SHARING THE GOSPEL

One day a lady criticized D. L. Moody a famous evangelist for the methods he used to share the Gospel to win folks to the Lord. Mr. Moody's response was, "Yes, I agree with you, and I do not like my way either. But tell me, how do you do it?" The lady answered, "I do not do it." Mr. Moody responded, "Then I like my method better than yours of not doing it at all." A not-so-perfect way of sharing is better than no method at all. Even a nervous, not-so-smooth presentation is better than keeping your mouth shut. I believe in my heart of hearts the Gospel is as Romans 1:16 says, "For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile." It is the explosive force and power of the Gospel message that impacts whethere it is your testimony, quoting Bible verses, or any of the different ways to share the Gospel as defined in this study guide. ARE YOU EXCITED!!

You and every person and the circumstances you meet are very different, so please find the best methods for you. This study guide will start showing the easiest way for brand new Christians or those unsure how to present the Gospel to more developing and established methods.

INDIRECT AND EASY WAYS TO SHARE! (HAVE A PICTURE ON CREATIVE WAYS TO SHARE)
1. Garage Sales
If you ever have a garage sale put Bibles out with a free sign on a table. One yard sale, we had over 25 free Bibles gone from all nationalities and ages, especially teens.
2. Collect Bibles
Gather used Bibles from your congregation to ship Bibles to developing countries using an organization in your area that ships using containers. Ask permission from your pastor if they can put a short write-up in the bulletin asking folks to bring their spare Bibles with a larger box in the foyer with a sign asking for free Bibles. Once through a church organization, we shipped 14 banana boxes full of new and used Bibles. Even the used Bibles where like brand new, hardly ever used. I believe you should always give your best away, not just the leftovers.
3. Ungodly Activities
Do not participate in godless activities, and if they ask why respond politely with an answer.
4. Christian Music
Someone is in your vehicle play Christian music softly.
5. Pray
Pray for those going through a tough time right then. Mention you will be praying for them. Tell them how you rely on God in hard times.
6. Christian Books
Read Christian books or a Bible on a lunch break, park, coffee shop, etc. Someone might ask what the book is about, or you can bring it up.
7.Bible Or Tracts
If you own your own business, leave a Bible or a Gospel tract in open view.
8. Support Children In a Third World Country
Through your church or an organization, sponsor a child in a third-world country.
9. Post On Social Media
Share posts with encouraging Scripture verses, sermon videos, worship songs, quotes, and your testimony on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Youtube, etc. Example of verses to use: Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23, Romans 10:9-10, John 11:25-26, Romans 3:10-11, Matthew 28:19-20, 1 Peter 3:15, Psalms 96: 2-4, Matthew 5:11-12, and Mark 13:10. We are finding teens and young people are doing this worldwide starting their own Christian ministry using social media. Way To Go to the Next Generation!
10. Start Your Own Ministry Blog
Share the Gospel and your testimony using your own blog. Young people live and breathe social media. Find out how to start your own blog-free course here.

Other conversational methods are:
Bible verse T-shirts.
Have Scripture home decor as on wall art or a pillow.
Faith accessories.
Send Christian Christmas gifts like a teen Bible to a teenager.

Think back have you ever shared, or when was the last time you shared the Gospel? (Pause, Think, Consider, and Reflect!)
What is holding you back from Jesus's command in Matthew 28:18-20. to go and make disciples? We should want to go and share a normal conversation with people about the fantastic news. When sharing your testimony and the Gospel to unbelievers, first pray about it. Next, try these creative ways to share the Gospel till you find one or two that work for you. Always remember "saving people" is not our job it is God's job. Scriptures tell us our job is to simply and naturally sow the seed. If circumstances allow us to nourish the seed (encourage them to grow Spiritually) and in some cases harvest the seed as we are obedient to share and depend on God for the rest.

QUICK METHODS OF SHARING
1. Visit A Sick Person
Bring a hot meal and a note/card with an encouraging scripture verse visiting someone at home. At a hospital, a small gift and an encouraging scriptural card.
2. Teach a Sunday School class
Teach a Sunday school class. It is a privilege to teach others the Gospel message, especially children. You will be amazed how you will grow spiritually if you commit to each Sunday teaching. Or to get your feet wet by being a helper at first in a Sunday school class with someone else teaching. At least once a year, do something special with your class, park with snacks, McDonald's, etc.
3. Volunteer
Volunteer at a women's shelter, children's home, hospital, or crisis center. Be a good listener and pray with them, giving them real hope.
4. Weekend Activities
If they ask how your weekend was. Mention you went or are going to church, and in a short sentence, say what the sermon was about. Invite them to a church event.
5. Random Acts of Kindness
Unplanned acts of goodwill and unselfishness with an encouraging note or verbalize saying "Jesus Loves You." The possibilities are endless.
6. Talk About Current Events
Ask what do you think of this world event. Listen carefully and then bring a Christian perspective on the event.
7. Volunteer At A Christian Chat Line.
Christian 24 hour chat lines that you would answer questions about Spiritual things. Here is a signup link to one.
8. Go Door To Door Witnessing
If you are confident and courageous, go with another Christian knocking on doors to share. It is challenging but rewarding and will keep you on your knees, praying for the Holy Spirit's wisdom and growth.
9. Start A Bible Study
With a few Christian friends ask non-Christians if they would like to join you in a Bible study. Recommend having one Christian that is experienced with a Christian group setting to lead the group. Talk to your pastor; they will be able to guide you, and more than likely, your church has a life group already.
10. Share Your Personal Testimony
Share the tremendous things God has done in your life with those that you meet every day. Review Chapter 15 Sharing Your Testimony.

One question you might ask which is the best method used for sharing the Gospel?
We will give you many methods, and we pray one or two will work for you. But the main thing is do not focus on the technique yet as much as understanding and grasping the Gospel message first. By just knowing a particular method, it will come across as mechanical, robotic, and programmed. Instead of being real, natural, and relative to the individual you are conversing with. But if you know the message and can connect the suitable method to the right audience at the right time. To have the proper conversation, you have to know the Gospel message top to bottom and from beginning to end. The next section will concentrate on helping you use or memorize the Biblical Bullet Points explaining the complete and perfect story of the Gospel from Genesis to Revelation. Then after the message, we will show all the different methods to be used.

Lets Start:

HERE ARE THE FIVE POINTS OF THE SOUL WINNER'S MESSAGE

1. The lost must know that he is a lost sinner.
It is imperative that he or she acknowledge their lost condition. Ask them if they realize that they are a lost sinner. Trust God to convict them of this fact. (Romans 3:10,11,12, 23; 5:12.)

2. The non-Christian must know that they are under the wrath of God because of their sin. That the price of sin is judgment, wrath, and hell. (Romans 6:23; Romans 1:18.)

3. The lost person must know that they cannot save themself. (Romans 6:23; Romans 3:20; Romans 11:6.)

4. The non-Christian must know that only Jesus can save them.
Explain the substitutionary death of Christ. Lift up Jesus on the cross. Tell of God's great love for sinners in giving His only begotten Son to die for them. Emphasize the finished work of Christ at Calvary. (Romans 5:8; John 14:6; 1 Timothy 2:5; Acts 4:12.)

5. The sinner must know that they are saved by FAITH in Jesus.
Point out that since Christ has died for their sin, all they must do is open their heart and receive Him as Saviour and Lord. Make clear that even though Jesus has already died for their sins, they must still appropriate this forgiveness by a single act of faith - receiving Him. ( Romans 10:9-13; John 3:16, 18, 36; John 1:12.)

Recommend finding a few verses from each area above and mark them in your Bible or have them memorized. You can also write out on 3 by 5 cards with the verse location on one side and the verse on the other side for reference. If you are new at sharing the Gospel, you can use a Gospel tract to follow along with presenting the Gospel.

1. Who is Jesus?
He is the Savior of the world. (  John 14:6, John 4:25-26, Colossians 2:9, and John 10:30.)

2. Why did Jesus come?
To seek the lost. (Luke 19:10.)
To save sinners. (1 Timothy 1:15.)
To demonstrate God's love. (Romans 5:6-8.)
To atone for our sins. (1 John 4:9-10.)
To become the source of eternal salvation. (Hebrews 5:8-9.)

3. What does believing in Jesus mean?
We receive eternal life. (John 3:16, John 11: 25-27.)
We receive forgiveness of sins. (1 John 1:8-9.)
We become children of God.  (John 1:12.)

4. How do you become a believer of Jesus?
We become a Christian through repentance and faith. (Ephesians 2:8-9.)

STEPS TO DISCOVERING PEACE WITH GOD

Bare with me as we have a HEART TO HEART TALK.
In doing our Christian websites, I get a lot of questions daily. A lot has to do what I call "head knowledge." An example is, did Mose write all of the first five books of the Bible, or did other authors do it? In my mind, I know the Bible is "God's Word," and it is not that important to me. I do understand many do not think that way, and I respect that.

A Big But when it comes to learning how to share the Gospel with others, it is not your "head knowledge of the subject" that will bring eternity results. It reaches deep from within of a wonderful Saving, Mercy, Grace, and Compassion for the lost. It can not be taught as much as it comes from deep within by the Holy Spirit. Each of us has to go deeper into the things of God; we must first...
1. PRAY - RECEIVE

- PREPARE YOUR HEART TO HEAR FROM GOD.

2. REFLECT
- JESUS EXPECTS ME TO SHARE MY FAITH WITH PEOPLE.
- DEMONSTRATING GOD'S LOVE DRAWS OTHERS TO HIM.
- REMOVE THINGS FROM MY LIFE THAT DO NOT SHOW GOD'S LOVE.
- THROUGH CHALLENGES, GOD GROWS MY CAPACITY TO LOVE OTHERS.

3. RESPOND
- LORD, GIVE ME THE OPPORTUNITIES AND THE COURAGE TO SHARE GOD'S LOVE WITH OTHERS.
- SHOW ME AREAS OF MY LIFE THAT ARE NOT BEARING FRUIT.

Ask yourself this question.
DO YOU WANT TO GO DEEPER INTO THE SPIRITUAL REALM?

First Start and Keep and Enjoy Good Habits. Each day we make choices. We can choose to have a burger, fries, and pop and binge-watch TV. Or we can fix a healthy meal, exercise, and spend time in God's Word. Whatever choice we make will reinforce a habit, and that behavior forms the basis of our daily routine. Change our habits, and you can change your life.

What Is Our Burning Desire?
We all should have a burning desire so ignited by God that we will have no difficulty and no struggle igniting our tongue and speech. As Jesus said, "... For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of." (Matt. 12:34.)

Ask Yourself These Questions:
How urgent and significant is it for us to share the Gospel easily and continuously with the salvation message pouring out of our mouths? ______________
What does that suggest about our being in love with God? ______________
For that making a difference, why should we so love God? ______________
That brings us to examine, study, and reflect on God's message, specifically, what we want to share with others? ______________
What is it that would light a fire in our hearts? ______________

ANSWER:
Getting to know Jesus intimately, forsaking any hidden sin, submitting to the Holy Spirit, and then we will see God's holy vision for our life's come to pass in our life. That's what we want to consider.
(Pause, Think, Consider, and Reflect!)

Today's study guide will look at easy ways to more details methods to present the Gospel. Each will have a simple outline. Pick one or as many as you will want to use for different situations. But at least pick one to start with. Very common and necessary when giving a presentation to use brief notes or an outline to keep on track. I know I need it. We will start with easier ways to methods with more detail.

Your relationship with God

STEP 1: GOD'S PLAN - PEACE AND LIFE

In all of life's experiences, there is nothing more amazing and incredible than discovering peace with God.  Since God planned for us to have peace, why are most people not having this experience?
The Bible Says..."I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." (John 10:10.)
"... we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ
."
Romans 5:1

Step 2: Our Problem Separation From GodSTEP 2: OUR PROBLEM - SEPARATION FROM GOD

God created us in His own image with a will and freedom of choice. We chose to disobey God and go our own willful way each day. This results in SEPARATION from God. Everyone has tried to bridge this gap in many ways without success. There is only one solution to this problem of separation. IS ACKNOWLEDGING…
The Bible says ... "For all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23
"For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 6:23

Step 3 God's Answer - The Cross - You must make a decison STEP 3: GOD'S ANSWER - THE CROSS | (GOD'S REMEDY - THE CROSS)

JESUS CHRIST is the ONE and ONLY answer to the problem of separation. When Jesus Christ died on the CROSS and rose from the GRAVE, He paid the PENALTY for our sins and bridged the gap between God and us.
God has provided the ONLY way, but each person must make a CHOICE.
The Bible says ... "For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus." 1 Timothy 2:5
"But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners. Christ died for us." Rom. 5:8

Sin - Cross - God - Our Response - Receive Christ

STEP 4: OUR RESPONSE - RECEIVE CHRIST

To receive Christ, you need to do four things:
1. ADMIT your spiritual need that you are a sinner in need of God's forgiveness.
2. TURN AROUND (REPENT) Be remorseful and be willing to turn from your sin - stop sinning.
3. BELIEVE that Jesus Christ died for you on the cross.
4. RECEIVE through prayer, Jesus Christ into your heart and life.

"Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in." Revelation 3:20 "If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him form the dead, you will be saved." Romans 10:9
Step 5 What is Your Decision?

STEP 5: WHAT IS YOUR DECISION?

We must trust Jesus as Lord and Savior and receive Him by personal invitation.
You can receive Christ right now by faith through prayer.
DEAR LORD JESUS, I know that I am a sinner and need YOUR forgiveness. I believe that you died for my sins. I want to turn from my sins. I now invite you to come into my life. I want to trust you as Savior and follow you as Lord.  Amen.

The Bible says ..."for Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." Romans 10:13
"Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life..." John 3:36

5 STEPS TO DISCOVERING PEACE WITH GOD -Download PDF to study, memorize, share with others, or use as aN outline.

Here's a prayer you can pray to receive Christ:

"Dear Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner, and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe you died for my sins and rose from the dead. I trust and follow you as my Lord and Savior. Guide my life and help me to do your will. In your name, amen."
